Time   You set the pace when to graduate ......

Traditionally this degree programme is four years, but at vU5 you can complete the course when you are ready. This means you can complete the course in one year or 18 months or 3 or 4 years, you set the pace.

At a traditional university you spend about 170 days per year studying, in lectures, exams, library, and mostly from Mondays to Fridays, 8am to 8pm. The rest of the year the lecturers and professors are on leave, which does not make it possible to accelerate your studies during typical holiday time or over weekends. This means you loose 195 days to holidays and breaks per year.

At vU5 we look at seat time differently because the 21st century student understands the value of time. Today's student is sceptical, impatient, easily distracted, and needs instant gratification, because the internet has changed the way people consume information.

So instead of looking at studies in years we look at studies in notional hours. In this programme the average student can complete the course in 4,800 notional hours. Notional hours include study time, exam time, hours spent on assignments and writing papers, lecture time, time in the library, time at task, but excludes time away from studies.

This means you set the pace, if you can complete your studies in less than 4,800 hours you can graduate, if you want to spend 3 of 4 years in study mode you are free to graduate then. You set the pace. And you can save up to 50% of study fees too, if you choose to accelerate your studies.
